I love my life EVEN MORE after this perfect weekend

I had such a nice weekend, it was like perfectly-perfect. Last saturday one of my best friends turned 18 (finally!). Me and some other friends first chilled out at her house. We had some drinks, some more drinks, played some nasty games, and had a lot of fun. The best part started to begin when we were going for the Tequila, while we bought a bottle for my friend. Some of the girls went to Utrecht to go out, and of course I went with them, 'cause I like to party a lot. I was wearing my new boots which I bought at H&M last friday. I already baptized them to 'going-out-boots', because I always fuck up my boots by dancing in nasty glass when going out. (I also ordered boots at Invito, but because I had school today and yesterday till 6.00 p.m. I missed the postman, but I will pick them up tomorrow, excited!)

Ik had zo'n leuk weekend, het was gewoon perfecte-perfectie. Afgelopen zaterdag werd een van mijn beste vriendinnen 18 (eindelijk!). Ik en wat vrienden childen eerst bij haar thuis. We dronken wat, dronken nog was, speelden wat nasty spelletjes en hadden vooral veel lol. Het beste gedeelte begon toen we aan de Tequila gingen, die we voor haar hadden gekocht. Sommige meiden gingen naar Utrecht om uit te gaan, en natuurlijk ging ik mee, omdat ik gek ben op feesten. Ik droeg mijn nieuwe laarsjes die ik vrijdag bij H&M had gekocht. Ik had ze van te voren al omgedoopt in 'uit-ga-schoenen', omdat ik mijn schoenen altijd stuk maak tijdens het uitgaan als ik aan het dansen ben op al het glas op de grond. (Ik heb ook laarzen besteld bij Invito, maar omdat ik gisteren en eergisteren tot 18.00 uur naar school moest heb ik de postbezorger gemist, maar ik ga ze morgen ophalen, spannend!)

We went to a small bar/dancing/cafe called De Beurs. I never went there before, because I thought it would not be my kind of club. But I actually had a really nice time, and I met some very nice girls and boys. We were dancing, dancing, dancing, and I went for another shot and some more wine. Not that I'm such a big drinker: I just spread my drinks over the night;) The birthday girl was totally waisted, and I helped her out a little bit by holding her. After some kisses we went home at 5.30 a.m.. It was such a nice night, it was actually one of my best nights out since a long time. I wore my new fake leather jacket also, which was really needed because it was freeeeeezing. Can't wait for more nights like this, and since I'm turning 23 next month I can't even wait for that night anymore!!

We gingen naar een kleine bar/dancing/café De Beurs. Ik was er nog nooit geweest, omdat ik dacht dat het niet mijn soort club was. Maar ik had het heel erg naar mijn zin, en ik heb een aantal hele leuke meiden en jongens ontmoet. We hebben gedanst, gedanst, gedanst, en ik heb nog een shotje genomen en wat meer wijn. Niet dat ik zo'n grote drinker ben: ik verspreid mijn drankjes over de nacht;) Mijn jarige vriendin was behoorlijk eraan, en ik heb haar een beetje geholpen door haar vast te houden. Na wat kisses zijn we om half 6 's ochtends naar huis gegaan. Het was zo'n leuke nacht, het was echt een van mijn beste uitga nachten sinds lange tijd. Ik had mijn nieuwe nep-leren jasje aan, welke echt nodig was omdat het freeeeeeeeezing was. Ik kan niet wachten tot meer nachten zoals deze, en omdat ik volgende week 23 wordt kan ik nu al niet meer wachten tot die nacht!

Oh by the way, this week I have a little project for myself. I'm walking on heels all week long. Normally I also wear a lot of flat shoes like allstars, but this week I'm behaving me as a perfect female, haha.. Today I went for higher heels then I normally do, so this was a good learning day. I felt really feminine, and I felt even more confident then I already did.

Oh trouwens, deze week heb ik een klein project voor mezelf. Ik loop de hele week op hakken. Normaal draag ik ook veel platte schoenen zoals allstars, maar deze week gedraag ik me als een perfecte dame, haha.. Vandaag ging ik voor hogere hakken dan ik normaal gewend ben, dus dit was een goede dag om te leren. Ik voelde me heel vrouwelijk, en zelfs meer zelfverzekerd dan ik normaal al ben.

Just Another concert

This wednesday I went to the Biffy Clyro concert in Tivoli (Utrecht). Maybe you'll know their songs: 'Bubbles' and 'Many of Honour'. The support act was the band Airship. I really liked the sound of this band which I did not know before. In the first week of November I will actually go to another concert, this time to Shout Out Louds with my younger sister at Melkweg (Amsterdam).

Afgelopen woensdag ben ik naar het concert van Biffy Clyro in Tivoli (Utrecht) geweest. Misschien ken je een van hun liedjes: 'Bubbles' en 'Many of Honour'. Het voorprogramma was Airship. Ik vond hun erg goed, en kende ze hiervoor nog niet. In de eerste week van november ga ik naar nog een concert, deze keer van de Shout Out Louds met mijn zusje in de Melkweg (Amsterdam).

Ik en een vriend. We kregen een 'armband', omdat we ouder dan 21 jaar zijn, en aan het einde van de avond ontdekte ik dat deze stomme armband niet kapot te krijgen was.

The flag of Biffy Clyro. I did not totally enjoy the concert, because some parts of it were to 'metal' I think. I don't really like that kind of music, I'm more into bands which play Indie Rock, like The Killers and Vampire weekend do.

Tiredeness can make you feel drunk

Since it's 10-10-10 today I wanted to show you my favourite ten items which I did not buy myself, so all items are presents. Meanwhile I will tell you about my week, in which I suffered illness and exams.

Omdat het vandaag 10-10-10 is wilde ik jullie 10 favorite items van mij laten zien, die ik niet zelf heb gekocht, dus alle dingen zijn cadeautjes. Intussen vertel ik jullie over de afgelopen week, waarin ik ziek was en tentamens had.

I got this earrings from my younger sister. She didn't use them anymore, so I could have them. I don't wear them that much, but that does not mean I don't like them (I just got a lot of earrings, haha). Ik heb deze oorbellen gekregen van mijn zusje. Zij droeg ze niet meer, dus ik mocht ze hebben. Ik draag ze niet zo vaak, maar dat wil niet zeggen dat ik ze niet leuk vind (Ik heb gewoon heel veel oorbellen, haha).

I wish life could always be fun, fun fun. But of course you always have to suffer worse times. This week was pretty hard for me, while I was ill, getting sicker, and after all just went to a stage which I would like to call sickest. It was the whole package of tiredness and fever. At the same time I was trying to learn for my exams, which I had last friday.

Ik zou willen dat het leven gewoon alleen fun, fun fun was. Maar natuurlijk moet je soms door een wat moeilijkere tijd. Deze week was best lastig voor me, omdat ik van ziek, naar zieker, naar een status die ik 'ziekste' zou willen noemen ging. Het was het hele pakketje van moeheid en koorts. Tegelijkertijd probeerde ik te studeren voor mijn tentamens, die ik vrijdag had.

I got this sunglasses from the bartender for free when I was in Antwerp with my older sister. Ik heb deze zonnebril gekregen van de barkeeper toen ik in Antwerpen was met mijn zus.

I was sick while making my exams, but I had spent so many time studying and I decided I really wanted to make my exams (otherwise I would have to do them in January and study everything all over again). After my exams I went right a way to my sport club for the yearly contest. Normally I won't want to sport in such conditions, but we were divided in groups, and I did not want to leave my group alone. So I entered the contest, and since I'm in to gymnastics

made the evening really weird;) I was feeling drunk: drunk of tiredness, really, I could not remember everything I did.

Ik was ziek toen ik mijn tentamens maakte, maar ik had zoveel tijd erin gestopt om te leren dat ik ze graag wilde maken (anders moet ik ze doen in januari en dat vond ik zonde van de tijd die ik erin had gestopt). Na mijn tentamens ging ik meteen naar mijn sportclub, omdat er onderlinge wedstrijden waren. Normaal zou ik onder deze omstandigheden niet gaan sporten, maar dit jaar waren we verdeeld in teams, en ik wilde mijn groep niet in de steek laten. Dus ik ging de wedstrijd in, en omdat ik turn

1) mijn ziektestatus

2) samen met mijn moeheid

maakten de avond erg raar;) Ik voelde me dronken van moeheid, echt, ik kon niet meer alles herinneren wat er was gebeurd.

Got this grey bag from Pieces from my parents for Sinterklaas, a dutch 'party'. I actually got a gift card from Pieces. Ik heb dit tasje van Pieces gekregen van mijn ouders voor Sinterklaas. Eigenlijk kreeg ik een gift card van Pieces.

I was so dizzy, never felt that way before. But of course, I was just stupid, to risk broken bones and getting sicker only for a competition. But that's me.. I hate to quit!! Definitely not a quiter..After all, my group turned out to be number one, so I was the lucky one after all. Now I'm trying to grap lot's and lot's of sleep, I will feel better soon.

Ik was zo duizelig, ik heb me nog nooit zo gevoeld. Maar natuurlijk was ik ook gewoon dom, om gebroken botten en nog zieker worden te riskeren voor een wedstrijd. Maar dat ben ik.. ik haat afhaken! Zeker niet een 'quitter'.. Uiteindelijk werd mijn groep eerste, dus was ik uiteindelijk the lucky one. Nu probeer ik slaap, veeeeel slaap te krijgen, en voel ik me snel weer beter.

Already showed you guys this little table, I really like it! Got it from by bestie, and then painted it pink. Ik heb jullie dit tafeltje al eens laten zien, hij is echt leuk! Heb hem gekregen van mijn bestie, en heb het toen roze geverfd.

I loveeeee this parfum. It's my favourite fragrance (Calvin Klein: Secret Obession). Still need a new bottle. Got this one last year. Ik houdddd van deze parfum. Het is mijn favoriete luchtje (Calvin Klein: Secret Obsession). Moet nog steeds een nieuw flesje. Heb deze vorig jaar gekregen.

From my 'Barry M period' two years ago. I was so addicted to them, so I received and bought a lot of them. Here are just a couple out of my collection. Uit mijn 'Barry M periode' twee jaar geleden. Ik was zo verslaafd aan ze, dus ik kreeg en kocht er veel van. Hier slechts een paar uit mijn collectie.

I was the most happy girl alive when I catched these stage  flowers during the Killers concert in 2009. Ik was het meest gelukkige meisje op de wereld toen ik deze podium bloemen ving tijdens het Killers concert in 2009.

Love these bracelets!  I received one of them as a present and found the other one in a shop (with no label on it). Ik houd van deze armbanden! Ik heb er een van gekregen en de andere in een winkel gevonden (zonder label eraan).

I adore ornaments a lot, so I receive lot's of them from my friends and family. Ik ben gek op versiersels, dus ik krijg veel ervan van mijn vrienden en familie.

I'm sorry for the lack of updates, but this friday I'll have my first exam of this year, which is pretty important!! So next week I will be all yours again! I'll show some pictures of the Brandon Flowers concert at Paradiso (Amsterdam). It was a wonderfull night, and I love him even more. (This sounds really creapy but hell yeah I'm a fan) <3

Sorry voor de weinige updates, maar ik heb a.s. vrijdag mijn eerste tentamen van dit jaar, hij is erg belangrijk!! Dus volgende week heb ik weer genoeg tijd! Ik zal jullie wat foto's laten zien van het Brandon Flowers concert in Paradiso (Amsterdam). Het was een geweldige nacht, en ik houd nog meer van hem dan eerst. (Dit klinkt best creapy, maar ach ik ben een fan) <3

Some of my favourite black clothes

One of my bad habits is buying to much black clothes. When I shop I always try to tell myself: no black today! It never works, so when I open my closets I can see a lot of black. I just like the way black fits perfectly with my blonde hair (or is this a stupid reason to buy black?). Never mind, I want to show you guys my favourite black clothes today!

Een van mijn slechte gewoontes is het kopen van te veel zwarte kleren. Als ik shop probeer ik altijd tegen mezelf te zeggen: vandaag geen zwart! Het werkt nooit, dus als ik mijn kasten opendoe zie ik heel veel zwart. Ik vind het gewoon mooi hoe zwart perfect bij mijn blonde haar past (of is dit een stomme reden om zwarte kleren te kopen?). Hoe dan ook, ik wil jullie mijn favoriete zwarte kleren laten zien vandaag!

First of all one of my alltime favourite black dresses! It's known that every woman should have a nice LBD (little black dress) in her closet. Well, I don't know what it is with LBDs, 'cause when I count mine I have 6 of them. This one is from ASOS, it's made of polyester but it has a 'silky look', which is very beautiful in my opinion.

Als eerste mijn alltime favourite zwarte jurk! Het is bekend dat elke vrouw een mooie LBD (little black dress) in haar kast moet hebben. Nou, ik weet niet wat het is met LBS's, want als ik die van mij tel kom ik op 6. Deze is van ASOS, hij is gemaakt van polyester maar heeft een 'zijdeachtige look', erg mooi vind ik.

The dress is really an eyecatcher for a chic party, because it have nice details. Here you can see the plisse on the front. I like plisse a lot, because it's simple but it can also give just a little bit more class to a dress.

De jurk is echt een eyecatcher voor een wat chiquer feestje, omdat het zulke fijne details heeft. Hier kun je het plissé zien aan de voorkant van de jurk. Ik houd erg van plissé, het is simpel maar kan ook juist dat beetje extra klasse geven aan een jurk.

There are also pretty pockets on both sides of the dress. They are really big;) I stiched them at both sides, because my hips otherwise look bigga bigga (not that my hips are big in real life, but before the stiches they dit not look as great as they could.)

De jurk heeft aan beide kanten mooie zakken. Ze zijn erg groot;) Ik heb ze vastgemaakt aan beide kanen, omdat mijn heupen er anders enorm uitzien (niet dat ik grote heupen heb in real life, maar voor ik ze had vastgemaakt zagen ze er niet zo mooi uit als ze er uit kunnen zien.)

The back of the dress is pretty low, but not to low that you can't were a bra underneath the dress, but to give it that touch I prefer wearing the dress without a bra anyway. The back is pretty sexy don't you think?

De achterkant van de jurk is vrij laag, maar niet zo laag dat je mijn bh eronder vandaan ziet steken, maar toch vind ik het fijner om deze jurk zonder bh te dragen. De achterkant is best sexy, vind je niet?

 

I also love the bow at the back, which you can make small or big, just what you want that night. I always prefer a big bow, because there are buttoms underneath the bow which I prefer to cover, it's the only part of the dress I don't like that much;) I think silky-fabric and buttons can give that wrong gothic look which I don't like for good-better-best-perfect!-nights-out.

Ik houd ook van de strik aan de achterkant, die je kleiner of groter kan maken, gewoon wat je die avond wilt. Ik houd het bij een grote strik, omdat er knoopjes onder zitten die ik liever bedek, het is het enige deel van de jurk wat ik niet zo mooi vind;) Ik denk dat zijdeachtige stof met knoopjes een verkeerde gothic look kunnen geven waar ik niet van houd op goede-betere-beste-perfecte!-nachten uit.

This is an item I also like very much. It's a top from h&m, but I bought it in L instead of S, so I can use it as a dress! I really love the pattern that is created by the lace of the top. Sometimes I don't wear it as a dress, but I just use it as a top. Most of the time I drag the bottom in my jeans, so it have a little bubbly effect at the middle. When I wear it, I wear a dress or a white top beneath it, so the pattern is shown on a beautiful way and you can see it really good.

Dit is ook een item wat ik heel leuk vind. Het is een top van h&m, maar ik heb hem gekocht in L i.p.v. S, zodat ik het als jurkje kan dragen! Ik houd echt van het patroon dat gemaakt wordt door het kant van de top. Soms draag ik hem niet als jurk, maar gewoon als een top. Meestal stop ik de onderkant in mijn jeans, zodat het een opbollend effect heeft. Als ik hem draag, draag ik een jurk of een witte top eronder, zodat het patroon op zijn mooist uitkomt.

Here a detail photo of the top/dress. As you can see it has little buttons at the upperside. These give the dress a playful effect. The buttons don't make this top gothic I think, like I told you at the first dress I have shown to you.

Hier zie je een detailfoto van de top/jurk. Zoals je kunt  zien zitten er kleine knoopjes aan de bovenkant. Deze geven de jurk een speels effect. De knopen maken deze top niet gothic vind ik, zoals ik je vertelde bij de eerste jurk die ik je heb laten zien.

Why is ZARA-stuff always so irresistible?! When I was at the fitting room of ZARA I saw a girl who was wearing this jumpsuit, but than in a different colour. I obviously felt in love immediately! I ran from the fitting rooms to the shopping-part of the store again and grabbed myself this lovely playsuit. I think it's really adorable. Most of the time I wear it with flats or flipflops. To make it even more classy I sometime were my favourite black blazer on top of it. Woops, I totally forgot to put this blazer in this post, although it's one of my favourite black items! I will show it another time, since I am at my parents and the blazer is at my appartement.

Waarom zijn kleren van ZARA altijd zo onweerstaanbaar?! Toen ik bij de paskamers van de ZARA was zag ik een meisje die deze jumpsuit aan het passen was, maar dan in een andere kleur. Ik werd duidelijk meteen verliefd! Ik rende weer terug van de paskamers naar het shop-gedeelte van de winkel en pakte deze jumpsuit voor mezelf. Ik denk dat hij echt liefelijk is. Meestal draag ik hem met flatjes of slippertjes. Om hem nog classier te maken draag ik soms mijn favoriete blazer eroverheen. Woops, ik ben helemaal vergeten deze blazer ook in deze post te stoppen, ook al is het een van mijn favoriete zwarte items! Ik zal deze een andere keer laten zien, omdat ik bij mijn ouders ben en de blazer is in mijn appartement.

Mjummie details! The breast part is really beautiful finished. The back is also nice, because it it open for a large part, so it's really nice if you have tanned just a little bit.

My appartement and her inspirations

Since one year I live in my own appartement, which I really like! I have really much space and my own bathroom. I already told you that I am busy with writing a text on one of my walls. Today I just want to show you some nice parts of my room, which can inspire me everyday.

Sinds een jaar woon ik in mijn eigen appartement, wat ik heel leuk vind! Ik heb erg veel ruimte en mijn eigen badkamer. Ik heb je al verteld dat ik druk ben met het schrijven van een tekst op een van mijn muren. Vandaag wilde ik gewoon wat leuke delen van mijn kamer laten zien, die me elke dag kunnen inspireren.

I really love this one. It's the nicest item in my room. I bought it at a fair with my mother. It's from a English brand. I like to put other jewelry and sunglasses on it everytime. I love the necklace with the scissors which is inspired by the necklace which Percy Irausquin wore all the time. It was my most beloved designer, and unfortunately he died in 2008. I can still be sad sometimes because of this.

Ik houd hier echt van! Het is het leukste item in mijn kamer. Ik heb het gekocht op een jaarmarkt met mijn moeder. Het is van een Engels merk. Ik vind het leuk om er elke keer weer andere sieraden en zonnebrillen op te hangen. Ik houd van de ketting met de schaar, deze is geïnspireerd op de ketting die Percy Irausquin altijd droeg. Hij was mijn meest geliefde designer, en helaas is hij in 2008 overleden. Soms kan ik hier nog steeds verdrietig om zijn.

I love this lamp! It's quite shoddy, but that can sometimes be really me. I got it from my parents as a present last year.

Ik houd van deze lamp! Hij is best kitscherig, maar dat past soms heel erg bij me. Ik heb hem vorig jaar van mijn ouders gekregen.

The rose is even ten times more shoddy than the lamp! Or should I say a hundred times? But well, I like it, and it fits perfectly in my room. (The text I'm going to write on my wall will be in gold too)

De roos is zelfs tien keer kitscher dan de lamp! Of moet ik zeggen honderd keer? Maar goed, ik vind het leuk, en het past perfect bij mijn kamer. (De tekst die ik op mijn muur ga schrijven wordt ook goud)

 

Setlist from the concert of Maria Mena, where I went to last year in Paradiso. It was really a good show, and Maria is such a nice girl. She is really sensitive and she can dance adorable! I hope she'll be back in The Netherlands soon (but this will be in 2011 they think).

Setlist van het concert van Maria Mena, waar ik vorig jaar heen ben geweest in Paradiso. Het was een super goede show, en Maria is zo'n leuke meid. Ze is heel gevoelig en ze kan fantastisch dansen. Ik hoop dat ze snel terugkomt in Nederland (maar waarschijnlijk is dit pas in 2011 denken ze).

I have this thing for keeping useless things, so as this ASOS box! ASOS is one of my favourite brands, so heey: it just deserves a place in my room! I used it to move stuff from my parents house to my appartement, and now it's just standing there on the ground, being beautiful! It always reminds me to keep surfing to the ASOS website to see if they already have new perfectly nice pieces.

Ik heb altijd al iets gehad met het bewaren van onbruikbare dingen, zoals deze ASOS doos! ASOS is een van mijn favoriete merken, dus hee: het verdient gewoon een plek in mijn kamer! Ik heb hem gebruikt om spullen van mijn ouders huis naar mijn appartement te verhuizen, en nu staat die hier op de grond, mooi te zijn! Hij laat me er altijd aan herinneren dat ik moet surfen naar de ASOS website om te kijken of ze al nieuwe perfect leuke dingen hebben.
